Chef Tina's Classic Vanilla Panna Cotta

 

Classic Vanilla Panna Cotta

Ingredients:

Equipment: Small Sauce Pot, Small Mixing Bowl, Whisk, Fine Mesh Strainer, Glass or Container to Set Panna Cotta In

  • 250ml Milk
  • 250ml Heavy Cream
  • 100 - 125g Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Gelatin Powder
  • 2 tbsp Cold Water
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Method:

  1. Place gelatin powder in a mixing bowl and add water and mix until incorporated. Let sit for 5 mins.
  2. Place all other ingredients in a sauce pot and bring to a simmer.
  3. Add gelatin mixture (it will be solid) and heat until dissolved.
  4. Once sugar and gelatin have dissolved, strain mixture through a fine mesh strainer.
  5. Pour into containers or glasses and allow to set for at least 4 hrs or overnight in the fridge.
  6. Serve with seasonal fruit!
