What made you want to become a chef? It's the perfect combination of all my favourite things: food, nutrition, fast-paced environment, great people, and fun!

 

What are the 5 ingredients you can’t live without? Tofu, nutritional yeast, cashews, tomatoes, basil

 

What do you love about cooking? Bringing random ingredients together to make something delicious to share with friends

 

When you're creating a new recipe, what influences and inspires you? Seasonal fruits and vegetables

 

What advice would you give a new cook? Keep trying even if it doesn't end up tasting how you wanted. Failure is a necessary part of learning to cook well! 

 

What are you doing when you’re not cooking? You'll likely find me doing one of my many hobbies. I like to dabble!

 

Describe your perfect evening? Someone else cooking for me! 

 

If you had friends in from out of town, where would you take them to eat? Frankie We Salute You

 

Where are you from? London, Ontario 

 

What was your favorite vacation? Backpacking the Trans Zion trail in Zion National Park, Utah for my 30th birthday.

 

What are your hobbies? Mountain biking, paddle boarding, sailing, skiing, skate skiing, backpacking, baking

 

If you could have dinner with one person, who would it be? My Grandpa and Nonna

 

What are your guilty pleasures? Spending an entire day reading a good book.

 

What 5 tools should every new cook have in the kitchen? Thermometer, sharpie, notepad, digital scale, offset spatula 

 

List three of your favourite tips or techniques you use in the kitchen? 

1)     Always sift your flour when baking 

2)     Learn how to utilize a roux and you'll always have luxuriously thick sauces 

3)     Work tidy, one task/one wipe!
