Position: Sales Associate / Culinary

Who best to sell you a new bike than a bike mechanic?  Or maybe a competitive cyclist. The same rule applies at our award-winning Lakehouse cooks’ shop located on Bernard Ave. in downtown Kelowna.   Culinary Experts have the easiest sales process due to their experience, knowledge, and natural enthusiasm. Their sales are made simply by educating and informing like-minded customers.           

We’re seeking applicants for part-time and full-time positions.   Keep in mind this is not your ordinary Chef’s gig. We pay the same or better than most restaurant kitchens and our 9-5 hours are great.  So if you’re interested in re-booting your culinary talents and teaching skills to enhance our customer’s foodie-satisfaction, then please apply with us ASAP.

Your Culinary Objectives:

• Work as part of a sales team, leading and achieving sales goals.

• Act as the in-house culinary expert helping create a rich and engaging environment for customers and co-workers alike.  

• Develop, plan, and execute occasional cooking classes and culinary events.

• Maintain a high-level of product knowledge for premium brands we stock.

• Deliver unique experiences by engaging customers using original recipes, sharing techniques and tricks of the trade.  

• Collaborate with store Managers to ensure Lakehouse objectives are met.
  
  

Experience and Qualifications:

May you have a Culinary degree,  or Sous Chef experience, or your self-taught  – either way you live, breath it, eat it and you have the necessary skills and know-how.  

Plus you have the usual laundry list of qualifications:

• Demonstrated successful teaching and training experience

• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Experience with POS systems.

• Proven communication and conflict resolution skills.

• Proven ability to drive sales and motivate teams

• Valid Food Safe and Serving It Right Certification

• Valid driver’s license

• Sense-of-humour
