SHIPPING, PICK-UP AND DELIVERY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CURBSIDE/IN-STORE PICK-UP:

Our team will contact you when your order is ready for pickup, please visit the Kelowna location listed in your pickup email and we’ll have your items ready to go. You must bring your own packaging or wrapping to transport your item safely to its destination.

 

SHIPPING & DELIVERY INFORMATION:

Lakehouse offers standard shipping to Canada and the US* via Canada Post or USPS, with most orders arriving within 5-10 days of their processing date. Expedited services are offered at an additional cost.

Shipping includes all packing, insurance and specified delivery. If you have your own courier account we will be happy to accommodate you.

Large or fragile orders are outsourced to shipping experts and we will confirm time and cost details with you prior to shipping. 

Sorry, we do not ship to P.O. Boxes. For YT, NT, NU and remote locations, please call us as free shipping may not qualify.

An additional charge will appear on your order confirmation noting all applicable taxes based on the location to which the order is being shipped. Shipments to the U.S. are not charged sales taxes, US customers are responsible for paying any duties and taxes that may be applicable to your state.

* Assembly: We do not assemble items requiring professional assembly & installation such as lighting, heavy mirrors & décor.

** Elevators: The elevator must be booked and padded prior to arrival as per condo association requirements, if not, delivery will be cancelled and rescheduled at the customers expense.

*** Sofa Beds: If sofa beds need to be dismantled for delivery, assembly fees will apply.

 

 

PREPARING FOR FURNITURE DELIVERY:

It is your responsibility to ensure that all furniture items will fit through any access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators and around corners into the desired location. 

SCHEDULING YOUR DELIVERY:

Before we deliver, we will send you a delivery form. Please notify Lakehouse of any special requirements necessary to ensure a successful delivery. This includes, but is not limited to, the need for small trucks to navigate narrow roads and driveways, gated entry access, multiple flights of stairs and service elevator reservations.

Elevators: The elevator must be booked and padded prior to arrival as per condo association requirements, if not, delivery will be cancelled and rescheduled at the customers expense. Please see elevator fees in fee guide.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT ON DELIVERY DAY:

To facilitate delivery, please clear entryways such as driveways, hallways, walking paths as well as space where furniture or rugs will be placed prior to delivery. Our delivery professionals are not permitted to move furniture or remove doors or hardware currently in your home, nor are they allowed to move or set up electrical equipment.

Our delivery team will call enroute to your home, an authorized individual over the age of 18 must be present to accept the delivery, inspect items and sign the delivery receipt. Unless you have provided payment for additional delivery services, please inform the drivers of where you would like the product placed on arrival. I.e. Driveway, front door, garage, etc.

In the event of any imperfection noted at the time of delivery, Lakehouse is not liable and may decline/cancel if item does not fit securely through an access point.

Our drivers will take pictures of product in its final placement, and may take photos of delivery conditions before and after.

If adverse weather does not permit safe delivery, we may reschedule.
